| Buddhist Stupa The Stupas are solid domes marking places of significance for the Buddhists. This one, tucked away in the heart of a residential area of Kathmandhu, marked a point on the trade route from ancient Tibet. Harvest time is a time of celebration everywhere but more so in a country with a high proportion of subsistance farmers. With one of the lowest per capita annual incomes in the world many farming families in the rural population do not participate at all in the cash economy. |
