This world is a mirror, as you speak to others so are they to you Swami spoke on meditation. Real meditation is the thoughtless state Mano Yoga is best as it goes beyond meditation You can predetermine the wake up time from Yoga Nidra even if you go to sleep Do meditation in a noisy place so you learn to shut off external stimuli Mano yoga is more powerful than meditation Do yoga nidra on a bench to assist concentration In the old days a Guru had only a few students. I have broken with this tradition and taught many. Perhaps only one from this group will get the technique properly. Ajapa when perfected gives the first Siddhi – to live a long life and to leave the body at will. (The eight Siddhis are Anima (atomic size), Mahima (colossal size), Garima (excessive bulk), Laghima (extreme lightness), Prapti (attainment of whatever you desire), Prakamya (unhampered will), Isatva (lordliness) and Vasitva (control over all senses.) The nature of one who has perfected Ajapa is as follows. He will overcome all desires to eat good food or to dress nicely and will not distinguish differences between people. The true yogi is in a state of tranquillity, in a state of parashakti It sounds easy but we are caught up in responsibilities and must realise both human life and spiritual life. Use your intellect to do both and find balance. While being in parashakti we are still human and should act accordingly What exists outside is inside, all is happening on its own What exists outside, all the galaxies, are inside you. When you realise this you will lose your fear of death as you realise you are part of nature. |

Scar on head. Swami said the Shakti kicked him while he was meditating The shape resembles a crescent moon – this is why many think he is an incarnation of Shiva. I wrote down a question on a piece of paper, as follows, but didn’t actually give it to anyone to translate or read out to him, just kept it in my pocket: “Many of us here are in the householder life In Sattakam Swami says “The true sanyassi is one who can combine yoga and household life” The regular practice of Mano Yoga leads one away from worldly duties and responsibilities and makes one long for solitude. At what stage can one abandon worldly duties or will they fall away on their own? How to balance sadhana and worldly duties? Will Swami’s grace still be with us if we live a household life working in the world or should we be striving for renunciation?” Swami started talking addressing particularly the westerners: Don’t ever take a second consort – stay with one woman Q: What if the woman leaves? A: Be happy! Recite the name of Shiva always Learn while Swami is still here, do not weep for Swami’s passing, and learn all you can while Swami is still here. Money and wife and children are only with you as long as your body is with you. When you leave this world you leave them also. People may wail and plead with you “don’t leave us alone…!” but when you die, none will come with you. Find your true home. Good and bad deeds accompany you when you die and all desires will fall down Do sadhana and self-effort or God and Somanatha can do nothing No-one belongs to you, your wife and children will forget you in the next minute after death. So do the necessary effort, and sadhana to stop the mind. Swami shows the way to the destination; the final destination. The previous night, talking about travels in India one of the women had asked me if the Kshetram was my final destination. The questions were answered without being put directly to Swami, demonstrating clearly his telepathic abilities. Soma’s teachings are another of the Vedas Make my message into a strong tree. Who will come on his own, not because I tell him to? Take this message forward. Do it on your own without instructions, take my message forward. If Swami gives an instruction and it is not followed by the disciples then it is bad karma and that is not good for you, so do it without instruction. You may have families and children; that is okay, but still immerse yourself in yoga External expression of love is like a mosquito buzzing, it’s just annoying. Instead sit quietly and understand Swami’s message and feel him in your heart. That is what is important to Swami. The eyes of a realised person resemble those of a goat, they don’t move. You don’t know which direction they are looking. The best way to control the mind is through Tyaga – sacrifice Nothing exists but your own sankalpas – your own thought creations |

Swayambhu – that which manifests itself. Creation is automatic If you buy rice you check the quality. Do the same to your beliefs. Read and understand my philosophy and you will know the answers to all of this. Gross, subtle and void are the three stages of the spiritual life. Tattwam – you are that – this is the essence of all philosophy Always remember me and I will take care of you |
