We are also hosting a 1 Day Retreat on the 2nd October and all Yoga Tour Participants are welcome to come along free of charge. Juast be sure to book in advance.

IThe aim of the Study Group is to learn about and practice different aspects of yoga related to our course of study with the Mohans. The material presented in the study group will be based upon 3 books by A.G. Mohan and Indra Mohan which are highly regarded, authoritative yoga texts. This will ensure we have a good foundation of knowledge before arriving in India and will be able to build upon this core knowledge during our course of study with the Mohans.

Once we receive your registration and deposit we will send you a yoga journey travel pack to help you prepare for the journey which includes three books by A.G. Mohan and Indra Mohan. These books include:

  • Yoga Therapy by A.G. Mohan and Indra
  • Yoga for Body, Breath and Mind by A.G. Mohan
  • Krishnamacharya: His Life and Teachings by A.G. Mohan

While attending the Study Group and studying the books by the Mohans is not a prerequisite for joining the Yoga Journey, it is highly recommended that you do so to familiarise yourself with the principles of yoga in the tradition of Krishnamacharya.

For participants who are unable to attend the monthly Study Groups, references for readings, lectures and practice sheets can be sent to you by email.

Comments about the books:

“A. G. Mohan, a longtime disciple of Krishnamacharya, and his wife Indra, herself a talented yoga therapist, are among the world’s foremost transmitters of the master’s mature teachings. In this book, they take you inside their process of yoga therapy from evaluating the student to planning and implementing a therapeutic regimen. I highly recommend it for teachers and serious students of this lineage.”

- Timothy McCall, M.D., medical editor of Yoga Journal

“Very few students actually stayed with Krishnamacharya to study and carefully practice what he was offering; A. G. Mohan is one who did. Read this book because it is a fascinating window into a deeply personal relationship in the age old practice of yoga transmission and learning.”

- Mark Whitwell, author of Yoga of Heart

“An extraordinary Hatha manual… one you can read, savor, and refer to again and again as your practice unfolds. It is distinguished from its peers by its emphasis on individualized therapy and its translation of the philosophy of the yoga sutras into everyday practice.”
